Sean Greentree completed his first 200 hour RYT under Bea Raydo.  He also completed several hundred hours of asana practice and meditation in Rishikesh, India.  Practicing Breakdance, Parkour, Martial Arts as well as several other competitive sports, Sean is very familiar with movement, especially expressive movement.  He originally began to practice yoga in 2010 to work through some sports injuries.  He found that not only was he able to work through these pains but also strengthen himself and regain his alignment.  More important than the healing was the expansion of presence he found that already resided within him.  Yoga compliments all of his other “play,” but this is all a side effect from the breath and the presence that we focus on during our asana practice, or mindful moving meditation.  By joining a class influenced by raja, ashtanga, hatha, and yin, you will open all energetic channels in the body.  Working with the breath will bring you ever more present.

Anuttara Vinyasa

 

Supreme Special Placement. We explore a choreographed sequence of Hatha poses linked together like a dance, connecting the breath with our movements.  Emphasizing special placement of the heart, this moving meditation focuses on using yoga mudras and bandhas to activate the energetic body. This is challenging work but available to all levels.

 

Anuttara Raja

 

Supreme Royal Yoga. Raja is the yoga of the mind. This moving meditation is an extended kriya. Physically, this class will allow for disengagement of the muscles so that gravity can access the fascia (connective tissue). The depth of this practice will be revealed when the

student is ready.

Hatha to Anuttara Raja

By combining two methods, this class allows for a true exploration of yin and yang:  engagement and disengagement. We start the first half with a slow hatha practice, and then transition to the floor for the second half of Anuttara Raja. This class will access the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and the fascia as well as the mind and energetic body.  Consider this a

well-rounded practice for all.
